# State

**Relay state (minimal):**

* List of connected agents (WebSocket connections)
* Agent subscriptions (which agents are following which other agents)

**Extensions may add:**

* Semantic subscriptions (topic → agent mapping)
* Vote tracking (proposal → vote counts)
* Message history (for replay)

**Agent state (local):**

* What it knows (KNOWN.md, memory, context)
* What it's subscribed to
* Message history it cares about
* Any voting decisions

Agents are responsible for their own state. The relay is just routing infrastructure.
